That evening, three local restaurants each hosted a Dinner Series collaboration between local chefs and a guest chef to prepare the ultimate multi-course meal. Trioand guest chef Mike Lata and John Lockwood of Enfield Wine Co. came together to create a rustic and inspired menu featuring star dishes such as chef Lata’s Ricotta Gnocchi and chefs Paul Wireman and Will Bradof’s Coffee Braised Pork Belly and Mountain Saged Smoked S’more. The Kitchen and guest chef Bryan Voltaggio and Matt Hobbs of Paul Hobbs Winery joined forces for this incredible home grown meal. Some of the stand out dishes included chef Voltaggio’s Lamb Loin with harvest carrots from his garden and chef Ash Tucker and Gavin Fine’s Waygu Beef Cheek and Portuguese Sponge Cake. Last but certainly not least, Orsetto welcomed chef Katie Button and Lisa D’Adamo of Folio Fine Wine Partners to team up for an incredible Mediterranean evening. We are still dreaming of chef Josh Governale Fried Squash Blossom and chef Katie Buttons Cochinillo Asado and a dessert of Merengue de “Gin & Tonic.” These collaborations will certainly leave a lasting memory!

SATURDAY, JUNE 22
It’s the last day of the 3rd annual summer festival and a group of eager cocktail enthusiasts gathered to learn from famed Death & Co. mixologists Devon Tarby and Alex Jump at Cocktail Codex Master Class hosted by Suda. Guests learned how to mix, shake and stir the perfect root cocktail including such classics as a daiquiri, margarita, and an old fashioned. By the end of class, everyone walked away with newfound bartending skills.

Jackson’s stunning Mead Ranch was the perfect setting for SAVOR presented by First Republic Bank and sponsored by YETI, the ultimate party on a ranch! Guests were welcomed the Wyoming way with a Wyoming Whiskey, Fever-Tree club soda and lemon cocktail in a custom YETI wine tumbler. Guest dove into an incredible selection of bites from guest chefs including; Chef Adam Perry Lang, APL Restaurant, LA; Chef Daniel Boulud, The Dinex Group, NY; Chef Katie Button, Curate Tapas Bar, Asheville, NC; Chef Mike Lata, FIG, The Ordinary, Charleston, SC; Chef Bryan Voltaggio, VOLT, Frederick, MD; and local flavor from Chef Brian Laughlin, Rations, Chef Michael Britton, Piste Mountain Bistro; Lauren Gurney, Jackson Cake Co.; Chefs Roger Freedman and Jaime Perez, Rendezvous Bistro; Chefs Al Belliveau and Matt Oda, Aspens & Pearl Street Market. No western party would be complete without a fun keepsake captured from the old timey photo booth. Truly an evening to remember!

There was no better way to round out the festival than with our favorite late night event, Death & Co. Bar Takeover hosted by Glorietta, featuring Death & Co. mixologists Devon Tarby and Alex Jump showing off their skills with an incredible selection of craft cocktails. Spirits were high as we celebrated a memorable 2019 summer festival!

A Charming Food Festival!

FORBES.COM highlights the charm of the culinary scene in Jackson Hole along with a spotlight on Jackson Hole Food & Wine.

To celebrate how much the local restaurant landscape has developed in recent years, Jackson Hole Food & Wine was founded. The three-day event, which kicked off in the summer of 2017, takes place twice a year: in the winter – the last one was held February 28 through March 2 – and in the summer. (Tickets for the upcoming festival in late June, which chef Daniel Boulud will be headlining, will be available online April 15.)
Of Jackson Hole Food & Wine, acclaimed chef Richard Blais says, "This is one of the most hospitable festivals I’ve ever been to.”

And what make Jackson Food & Wine a destination in of itself, and stand out from the rest? The incredibly warm, personable, and familiar vibes. “I don’t want it to be huge,” says Katrina Ryan, the festival’s president and co-founder. “I want it to stay intimate.” Richard Blais, the acclaimed guest chef and owner of California’s Juniper & Ivy and Crack Shack, echoed the same sentiment at Wine Dinner at 9000 Feet, one of the five main events: “This is one of the most hospitable festivals I’ve ever been to.” Even better? Some of the proceeds benefited Hole Food Rescue, a local non-profit committed to reducing food waste and insecurity “to keep perfectly edible food out of landfills and in the bellies of people,” says Hannah Cooley, the organization’s Director of Programs and Partnerships.

TASTE OF TETON VILLAGE 2019: THE APRÈS OF THE SEASON

Communications Manager, Cecilie Davila, attends Taste of Teton Village-a popular event during Jackson Hole Food & Wine's Winter Fest. See why you have to make it a must during your Winter visit in Jackson.

After a beautiful long day on the slopes, all the locals and out of towners make their way to their favorite part of the day: Après. With many options at the base of the mountain, there is one that truly shines that happens once a year at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel: Taste of Teton Village. As a local, this was an event I had always wanted to attend but had not been able to due to trips and work functions. Luckily this year, I was able to get a taste of what the event was like, and boy did I leave with a new palate and excitement for next year's event.

As I entered the four seasons and picked up my welcome pamphlet, I made my way through the hotels cozy and sophisticated hallways to the entrance to the event. I was immediately greeted by smiling faces and was handed my first cocktail in a glass tumbler that I would have with me the whole night. For those who know me well, you know I love a good tumbler so I was already pleased with how the night was going so far. What was most impressive was walking into the main room and seeing with my own eyes the detail that went into the ambiance. The lights lit up all over the walls and attendees faces and had a blue hue to it--it felt like the room was transformed into a chic night club while the DJ played some great classics. Tables lined the whole space of this ballroom, filled with the most delicious smelling food and the most flavorful wines I have ever had. Not only were you tasting your favorite Chef's food in Jackson like Sudachi or drinking your favorite homemade fireball shots from Handle Bar, but you were able to actually speak with these talented people and learn about their products. Everyone, Chef or not, was so knowledgable and genuinely happy to be sharing their different menu items with you--the whole room was a giant crowd of smiling faces and full bellies.

My favorite part of the night, being a wine lover, was meeting different representatives and wine connoisseurs from different wine regions in the U.S. I'm a big red and prosecco drinker, so I was in heaven when I was able to taste some new favorites. If you've made your way around the main room, you can make your way to surrounding hallways where more vendors are located. More wine, cocktails, food and ice cream, and even a photo booth! Take a look below for a fun video walkthrough of the event. WARNING: amazing food and wine being consumed in this video.

A wintry vacation in Jackson Hole—where the buffalo roam and hot toddies flow like water—promises epic adventures, whether you’re opting to ski, snowshoe, or imbibe warm libations with epic Teton views. Plus, the Wyoming town’s food scene is gaining major street cred—so much, in fact, that it’s playing host to a noteworthy food festival happening slopeside this winter.

WHO: A food network favorite Chef Tyler Florence is terra firma for the three-day event. The piece de resistance? Florence cheffing it up at 9,000 FT with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's Piste Mountain Bistro. While this baller shindig is sold out, there's still time to get up-close and personal with the convivial Chef at Big Wines, Small Plates (where Florence is one of five featured presenting panelists) or catch Tyler and Sous Chef at Taste of Teton Village where these fellas will be in attendance sipping and swirling alongside Jackson locals and visiting travelers.

WHAT: This food and beverage-fueled winter event is a first and includes a heavy lineup of long established local participating chefs, restaurants and beverages purveyors as well as newcomers. Everyone is working hard to service the best experience for Winter Fest guests with the basic idea? #eatdrinkskisupport. Wait, what’s the support part? Jackson Hole Food & Wine is a non-profit dedicated to good food and drink as well as the greater good. @holefoodrescue is a beneficiary partner this year.

WHERE: The Big One. AKA, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, WY. Reason enough to come to Wyoming, now you can eat and drink like royalty while skiing the iconic Mountain.

WHEN: March 8-10, 2018. Check the full f&b lineup and keep in mind, it’s a great time to be in Jackson Hole. With annual Rendezvous Fest welcoming spring in the Tetons the following week, visitors might want to make a big trip out of it for the ultimate package tour.

In the meantime, we will be strategically skiing and riding up a storm here since it’s a fun, easy way to augment all that eating and drinking to come. We can’t wait and hope you’ll join us for a great little winter food fest in Jackson Hole.
