The 7th annual Jackson Hole Food & Wine Summer Festival has come to a close. We celebrated all things culinary in beautiful Jackson Hole with three extraordinary days of events all while supporting Hole Food Rescue.
The Festival returned with a dynamic roster of local and visiting chefs, restaurants, artisans and beverage pros offering one-of-a-kind food and beverage experiences at some of Jackson Hole’s most picturesque locations.
The Summer Festival featured several special guests, including chef Aaron Bludorn of Bludorn, Houston; Andy Chabot, SVP, Food & Beverage, Blackberry Farm; Cassidee Dabney, Executive Chef of The Barn at Blackberry Farm; Pitmaster Hector Garate of Palmira Barbecue, Charleston, SC; Chef Mei Lin of daybird, Los Angeles; Pitmaster Don Nguyen of Khói Barbecue, Houston; Chef Brady Ishiwata Williams of Seattle’s Tomo; North Berkeley Imports’ Proprietor Billy Weiss; Brand Winemaker Gianna Ghilarducci of The Spire Collection; and Owner & Winemaker Sashi Moorman of Evening Land Seven Springs Estate, Domaine de la Côte, Sandhi, and Piedrasassi wines.

The Summer Festival began with an unforgettable wine seminar with North Berkeley Imports Owner & Importer Billy Weiss and Blackberry Farm Wine Director Andy Chabot! Guests explored 6 world-class Sangiovese wines from Tuscany and the delightful personalities found in this historic red grape. Billy and Andy shared their rich experiences and knowledge, making it an educational and fun tasting session. It was an afternoon of exquisitie wines and great company. Thank you to our presenting sponsor Vylla and Carrington Family of Businesses and to the Four Seasons Resort & Residences Jackson Hole for hosting this spectacular event.
Guests were welcomed with a glass of 2021 Murgo Brut Metodo Classico to awaken their palates!

THURSDAY, JUNE 20 - TASTE OF JACKSON HOLE
We kicked off the first night of summer with an incredible night up at Taste of Jackson Hole! 525 guests filled Rendezvous Lodge as we celebrated all things culinary with delicous bites and good sips! Thank you to our presenting sponsor MLD and to our gracious hosts Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Guests were welcomed with a custom Summer Festival glass filled with Viarae Prosecco to get the night started!
Our featured spirits booths Wild Common and Wyoming Whiskey served up some incredible craft cocktails. Guests were loving Wild Common's refreshing Paloma La Matera made with their Still Strength Tequila - the prefect summer cocktail! Wyoming Whiskey was shaking and stirring all sorts of unique cocktails that are featured at select Jackson Hole restaurants including the Smoked Old Fashioned created by the bartenders at Piste Mountain Bistro.
Guests enjoyed an array of food from 17 booths featuring local restaurants throughout Jackson Hole and exhibitors Bona Furtuna and Kerrygold. Everyone went above and beyond displaying their impressive culinary talents with each and every dish. Our beneificary Hole Food Rescue was also in the house educating guests on their incredible mission while serving up a delicious rescued dish of beet hummus on toasted baguette. No one went thirsty with over 16 beverage booths featuring beer, wine, and spirits. Also, a big thank you to New West Knifeworks for helping guests sharpen their tomahawk throwing skills!
To cap off the night, guests lined up for the photo booth to capture this festive evening. We are already looking forward to next year!

FRIDAY, JUNE 21 - DINNER SERIES ONE
On Friday evening, Tennessee guest chef Cassidee Dabney of The Barn at Blackberry Farm, a James Beard Foundation Award-winning restaurant presented a dazzling 5-course menu inspired by local flavors and summer ingredients some coming straight from Blackberry Farm. The food was delicously paired with rare and exquisite wines personally selected by Billy Weiss, a four-time winner of Wine & Spirits Magazine’s “Importer of the Year” and Andy Chabot, SVP of Food & Beverage, Blackberry Farm. This memorable evening was presented by J.P. Morgan and hosted at the stunning new headquarters of WRJ Design. The ambience and decor made for a spectacular evening!
The Peekytoe Crab Salad with Forest Mushrooms, Parsnip Crème Fraîchee, Verjus, Pecans and Herbs paired with the 2016 Vacheron Sancerre Blanc ‘Les Romains’ was pure perfection!

FRIDAY, JUNE 21 - DINNER SERIES TWO
We held a second Dinner Series event in a spectacular private home on Friday evening hosted by Rolf & Nancy Engh!
Houston chef Aaron Bludorn and team prepared a stunning 5-course meal in a beautiful location overlooking the Tetons. The New American, French-inspired meal was superbly paired with wines from Evening Land Seven Springs Estate, Domaine de la Côte, and Sandhi Wines presented by winemaker Sashi Moorman. These beautiful wines come from the major wine-growing regions of Seven Springs Estate in Oregon and Sta. Rita Hills in California.
The food and wine pairings were out of this world! We are still dreaming about the second course pairing with the Crawfish Risotto and the Evening Land Seven Springs Estate ‘Summum’ Pinot Noir 2021...YUM!

FRIDAY, JUNE 21 - DINNER SERIES THREE
The third dinner of the night was held at Snake River Sporting Club, a private sanctuary bordered only by river and wilderness creating the perfect location for a rustic summer dinner presented by YETI!
YETI guest chefs Mei Lin and Brady Ishiwata Williams prepared a dynamic multi-course meal reflective of the chefs’ diverse heritage and culinary points of view, accompanied by a superb collection of wines from the Spire Collection presented by Gianna Ghilarducci.
Guests are still raving about the fourth course pairing with the Char Siu Snake River Farms Wagyu Short Rib San Choy Bao and the side by side pairing of the 2015 Caladan Cabernet Franc and the 2015 Cardinale. To cap off the evening Wyoming Whiskey prepared a delicious old-fashioned cocktail to accompany the Hong Kong Milk Tea Crème Brûlée.

SATURDAY, JUNE 22 - SAVOR
Jackson’s stunning Mead Ranch was the perfect setting for our last event of the weekend. This ultmate party on a ranch was presented by J.P. Morgan and sponsored by YETI.
Guests were welcomed with a splash of Château d’Esclans “Garrus” Rosé 2021in a custom Jackson Hole Food & Wine YETI wine tumbler.
The Summer Festival’s featured guest chefs, including Aaron Bludorn, Cassidee Dabney, and acclaimed pitmasters Don Nyugen and Hector Garate teamed up with a few of Jackson Hole's finest chefs and restaurants, including Blue Collar Restuarant Group; Four Seasons Resort & Residences Jackson Hole; Gather; Snake River Grill; and The Kitchen creating an incredible tasting event. We were also excited to welcome exhibitors Bona Furtuna and Kerrygold that showcased their gourmet fine foods and cheeses.
We loved watching the pitmasters cook up a Sovieto Whole Hog (provided by Late Bloomer Ranch in Driggs, Idaho) on their one-of-a-kind Cen-Tex Smoker that delivered some delicous barbecue filled with tons of flavor! Chef Aaron Bludorn and his team grilled up some mouth-watering beef short ribs on the Cowboy Cauldron creating an exciting live-fire cooking experience.
350 guests soaked up a beautiful sunny day playing yard games; kicking back with live bluegrass from One Ton Pig; and enjoying delcious food and beverages. Wild Common and Wyoming Whiskey highlighted their incredible spirits selections in two fun and unique bar spaces that served up delicious Tequila and Whiskey cocktails.
Lastly, no western party would be complete without getting outfitted with a custom fitted palm leaf hat at Sing Hat Co. booth. It was an incredible evening of gourmet indulgence and fantastic company!
